Group Camp 2005 was a huge success! Fun was had, new friends made, and lots of mosquito bites for everyone!

I would like to thank everyone for coming and hope you had as much fun as we did. Here are some photos from the weekend - feel free to download at will. All are clickable:

Expanded packing update

Laura suggests the following packing list (thanks, Laura!):

Tent, sleeping bags, pads or air mattresses, pillows.
Clothing and personal toiletry items (Note: no running water at the campsite)
For the camp area: lawn chairs, firewood, any "camp-life" items you may have such as water containers, lanterns, clothes-line, etc. etc.
Food and eating: Your own breakfast, lunches, and snacks, as well as items for Friday evening cook-out. Your own cooking supplies as needed (Celeste and Laura will both bring stoves, so if you don't have one, don't worry). Plates, bowls, and silverware. Since there is no running water at the campsite, I recommend paper.
For the water: Swimsuits, towels, beach blankets, sunscreen, floats or water toys, water shoes or sandals, buckets and shovels.
In case the weather is bad (it is not supposed to be): raingear, a warm hat, card games, books, and other foul-weather diversions

Come Join the Fun!

THE EVENT
You are invited to attend our second annual GROUP CAMP. This year we will be camping at beautiful Baker Lake, approximately 90 miles from Seattle.

THE PLACE
We will be staying in Bayview South campground and we'll have it to ourselves for this trip. The group camp is right near the shores of Baker Lake and adjacent to Horseshoe Cove campground.

While I have not been to Bayview South, we did camp at Horseshoe Cove last year and had a great time. Here are some photos from our trip - click on any for a larger view:

THE DETAILS:

Dates: We have the campsite from noon on Thursday, August 4 through 1:00 p.m.Sunday, August 7. You are welcome to come anytime - even if you'd just like to make it a day trip!

Who's going to be there?: Right now it's just me (Celeste) and my two kids (9 and 6) as well as Laura's family (kids 8 and 4), but we have room for up to 100 people! I think it will be a pretty small group, though. I'll update this site with attendees once I receive RSVPs.

What to bring: Your camping stuff, silly! Seriously, just pack as you would for a normal trip. Also, bring lots of water - this particular site doesn't have running water although there is water available at Horseshoe Cove next door. Depending on how many people RSVP, we can talk about a group meal at night, which I am happy to prepare. I love camp cooking!

Where is this place?: On the left there are links to a map of the campground as well as camp details and driving directions.

RSVP: Via email or simply comment on this page below.
